Halloween 2010

This was a fun Halloween. Saturday we had down town trick or treating. Our first stop was Papa Murphey's for free kids pizzas. Then we hit down town. It took us almost 2 hours to walk through down town. It was packed, but it was fun. We even had our pictures taken for the newspaper.

Ben was Buzz Lightyear and this is his friend "Woody". They are so cute together.

This is Molly's last year trick or treating. She wanted to be a pirate. Emily wanted to be a Jedi and we were planning on using Timothy's costume from last year. He originally wanted to be Batman. However, when he saw Emily trying it on, he wanted to be a Jedi too. So we ended up getting another Jedi outfit. Jared was his standard Jedi. I was a Jack O Lantern.

Here are just another cute picture.

After the down town trick or treating we went home and cooked our pizzas and then went to our Ward Carnival/Trunk or Treat. It was a blast. On Sunday, we made sure to have our lights out, but we still ended up with one family of kids. Now on to Thanksgiving. :)

Orchestra Concert

Molly has been playing the cello since school started. This was the first concert that she got to perform at. We missed the first one because we were in Disney World:) She was really excited and did great.

Emily has been playing the violin for two years and loving it. This year she got to be in the advanced group. It is a group of four who got to play a piece by themselves in the concert.

The New Adventures of Robinson Crusoe

Molly and Emily tried out to be in a play and were picked to participate. They had try-outs on Tuesday and performed on Saturday. It was a lot of fun.

Molly was Glenda Gull

Emily was Myrtle the Turtle.

Happy Birthday Ben

Here are some pictures of Ben shortly after his second birthday. I can't believe how fast he has grown. He had a great birthday. Most of the pictures that we have from his birthday were taken with a film camera and we haven't developed them yet, but I was able to get these ones.

Random pictures

So here are some random pictures that I have been promising for a while, but just haven't put up. This is Molly from the Holiday program at school. She was supposed to be an old lady, but we didn't have a white wig for her to wear.

This was Halloween. The boys and parents dressed up in Star Wars (Thanks Grandma for the Jedi costume, and thanks Kathlene for the Darth Vader and Leia costumes). The girls wanted to be scary. So we have Frankenstein's daughter and Dracula's daughter. We had a lot of fun with the hair and makeup.

Here is a closer look at the girls with a friend. (She was a gypsy)

Christmas and New Year

We had a lot of fun for Christmas. This was the first year that we spent Christmas morning at home. It was so nice to have the kids get up and then we all went out and saw what Santa brought. The kids opened their presents and then they could open the packages that the presents were in and play with the toys without having to worry about losing pieces at other places. It was great. Later we went to The Carter's and had a fun Christmas there. Jared was so excited about his present that he had to go home right then to set it up. I have never seen him so excited about a gift. After a couple days at The Carter's we went to The Reeder's. We had a lot of fun there too. Jared got to try out his gun there and it was fun seeing a lot of family. One of my cousins was coming home from his mission and a lot of extended family was there. We also celebrated Ben's birthday while we were there. I can't believe he is two. Then we went back to Carter's until New Year's and then came home. What a busy holiday. Well, you will have to wait for the pictures. While we were in DisneyWorld, Ben got a hold of my camera and destroyed the shutter over the lens. We ended up taking pictures with an old film camera. We haven't had a chance to develop the pictures yet.
