Happy Birthday Timothy

Happy Birthday Timothy!!! Timothy is now 5. We had a birthday party on his birthday. We just played in the water in the back yard. He had some friends from preschool and church over. I filled around 100 water balloons and they were gone in less than 5 minutes. They all had a lot of fun. However, the party ended suddenly when one of the boys was stung by a wasp. Somehow it had gotten inside of his swimsuit. He is fine, but the party ended quickly after that. Luckily we had already done the cake and presents.

Ben enjoyed the cake.

Timothy picked out the cake. I thought he would pick something different, but this is what he wanted.
The weekend before Timothy's birthday we went to Tri-cities to visit Grandma and celebrate his birthday. Were else could we have gone but Chuck E Cheese. We were really lucky this trip. I earned at least 500 tickets and Jared did the same. Then Jack and Diana earned a lot too. We ordered the cake from Chuck E Cheese and it included a delivery by Chuck E Cheese. Timothy was very excited. It was fun.

July Fun

July has been a fun month. At the beginning of the month we bought 20 lbs of cherries from someone in our church for $1 a pound. It was great. I borrowed my mom's cherry pitter and the girls, one of my friends and I spent an hour pitting the cherries so that I could dry them in my dehydrator. I was super excited to use it. I received the dehydrator for Christmas and this was the first time I could use it. So I had everything pitted and ready to go on the racks and the dehydrator wouldn't work. The fan worked but the heater didn't. I messed with it a bit, but nothing happened. So I took it to my dad and he checked it out and it works great. So I ended up putting some cherries in the oven and some in the car. The last bit I was able to put in the dehydrator. Hands down the dehydrator cherries are the best.

For the 4th of July we went to the Carter's. Mom, Dad, Scott, Jenny, and their kids came over and we had a BBQ and set off fireworks. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures.

This last weekend we went camping with our ward. It was a lot of fun. We went to Ensign Ranch. We got there around 3pm and set up camp. We wanted to go and play on the giant slip and slide, but we couldn't because of the girls camp that was there. So while we waited until 5pm we waded in the creek by our camp and then the primary had all the kids make butter. It was fun. That night, after dinner, we had a talent show. Molly and a friend sang a song with Benjamin adding his own entertainment. I will try and get the video on here, but I am having trouble right now. Emily played three violin songs. Timothy just danced and sang with all the other primary kids. It was really cute. The next day we had breakfast nice and early and then went out canoeing. I forgot my camera, but a friend took some pictures. I will add more later. After canoeing, Jared took the kids on the slip and slide again. Then we packed up and headed home.

Here are some fun pictures.

Ben fell asleep at the fireworks.

The kids loved the fireworks that went up really, really high.

Uncle Scott got Roman candles. All the kids had fun holding them out.

Ben even wanted to participate.

Oh, I forgot that at the beginning of the month, Ben took a head dive into the leg of our piano. It swelled so fast and big that it split the skin. It was pretty scary, but he is fine now. He may have a dent in his head though.
Another thing that we did this month was going to Grandma's house and picking raspberries. I made raspberry jam for the first time. It was great.

Have We Fallen Off the Earth?

Well, it has been quite a while since we have added anything to the blog. So I have added the most recent pictures back. This is Timothy after his Mother's Day Tea at preschool. They sang some songs and had made cookies. One of the songs was about a mouse. It was very cute.

This is when we went over to Spokane for the blessing of Liz's baby, Brent. Molly is holding him. This is also Liz's other kids (Marianne, Sarah, Faith, and Brent) with our kids.

Emily also turned 8 in April. She was baptized on April 25.

We also got a family picture at Emily's baptism. These were their Easter clothes.

We celebrated Easter a week early with McKayla and Brayden. This was their Easter surprise.

This was just a cute pictures of the boys.

This was a lesson for me. Never give a young child a lolly pop while you are driving in the car. Thankfully, I just gave him a bath and it came right out.

Molly and Emily are both on the same softball team. This is Emily getting ready to hit the ball. This is her first year doing softball and she is doing great.

This is Molly after she got on first base. She is an amazing softball player. She loves to play.

This was how the kids spent their time while we watched the girls play. Ben had just stuck and handful of gravel in his mouth.

Brayden wanted me to take a picture of him. It was just too cute.

This was Emily's 8th birthday.

Oops, I guess some of the pictures got mixed up. This is the Easter egg hunt. This is Timothy and Brayden.

This was just too cute to not include.

We went to Utah and saw the new temple there. We also went and saw the "This Is The Place" monument.

While in Utah we also went to the ??? for Eric's birthday. Kathy and her girls came down to see us while we were there. Here is a picture of Brooke and Hayley.

Here is Kathy and Brooke.

Here is a picture of Hayley. This was the first time that we had ever met her. She is super cute.

This was a fun restaurant. It was like you were on a safari. There were lots of places to take pictures and while you were eating there was a show. People would dive off of the rock walls into a pool. It was a lot of fun. I even took the kids on a walk around the restaurant while we waited for our food. There were a lot of balconies and different levels. It was fun.

This was outside of the restaurant.

Inside the snakes mouth. This is Viana and our girls.

This was at the hotel while we were in Utah. All the kids slept on the hide-a-bed. However, I think that Molly and Emily ended up on the floor at one point.

Benjamin also had surgery. This was after his surgery. He is doing great. His surgery was at Children's Hospital in Seattle.

Molly had her 10th birthday on February 24. She is getting so grown up. She is so excited to get older.
Anyway, that is what has been happening with our family for the last few months. Hopefully, I won't let months go by before I blog again.

Pinewood Derby

Our Elder's Quorum had a party and our own pinewood derby races. We bought three cars. My plan was to just have the kids do a car. Tim decided not to do one. That is until we were getting ready to paint. He also wanted to paint. So we took the left over from Emily's car and let Tim paint it.

The girls had a blast. We had them come up with their own car designs and had the girls sand the cars. Then the girls painted their own cars.
Emily's car did race better than Molly's.

Molly did win the most colorful award.
Does her design look familar to anyone??

While we were cutting out our designs, Becky decided that she would like to build one. She took the cut off part of Molly's car to make hers. Luckily some one had bought an extra set of wheels that we could use.
I now understand my father's frustrations as it came pinewood derby time. Luckily there were people who helped us with advice and lending of tools to help us out. It should be stated that my car (the black one) got third place.
The kids had a lot of fun racing and watching the races.
